About
I was born in Taiwan when my parents were doing their PhDs and grew up in South Korea. Since I started my classical ballet training when I was seven at Kirov Ballet Academy in Washington DC, and Seoul. Korea, I performed across Austria, Germany, US, Japan, winning awards at international modern dance competitions. I started my Ph.D. at UT Austin after falling in love with Performance Studies so that I can not only study stage performance, but also daily life as a performance, that is ever changing and ephemeral, and thus, even more beautiful to observe. I love writing, yoga, shopping (!), traveling for food, and going for a walk with my dogs. I am happy when I am being with my family, siblings, puppies, and most importantly, with Dave C., my muse and love.
